You could portray a civillian during the 1860's, or a soldier with the Cavalry, Artillery, or Infantry. or, your entire family could join and be a combination of soldiers and civillians. There are many possibilities, and each branch offers something different. And if you are unsure which branch to join, click here to send a form on our contacts page to learn more about which branch would suit you best.

Cavalry

During the Civil War, the Cavalry was a fast, skilled fighting force that acted as the eyes of the rest of the army, watching the enemies movements, and attcking them, while relaying the intelligence to the army. Today, we are no different. Our Cavalry force is an elite fighting group, that moves fast and strikes hard. Whether it's horse mounted, or dismounted troops, we can deliver a blow to the enemy quick. For more information, please contact one of our Representatives.

Infantry

The Infantry was, and is, the main fighting force in the army. With the most men and the most units, the Infantry is the body of the army, and the essance of the Civil War itself. Even though they aren't as fast, their strength is unquestionably what makes the army the massive force it is. For more information, please contact one of our Representatives.

Artillery

The heavy-hitters of the army, the artillery is the big guns of the Union Army of the West, literally. With Cannons and Howitzers as the tools of the trade, the artillery forms the protection and long range striking power that the army lacks. Artillery crews utalize their weapons to do the most damage to the enemies troops, fortifications, and position. For more information, please contact one of our Representatives..

Medical

Perhaps one of the greatest strides in medicine in American history occured during the Civil War. Changes in organizations and innovations in surgery and health care were numerous and dramatic. Many people legendary Americans people found their voices during the war, and ushered in great social changes after it's end. From strecher bearers to nurses and doctors, men, women, and children can find a valid, authentic role in the Union Army of the West's vibrant hospital impressions!
